Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, John O’Brien began his career in customer service and sales support, quickly advancing to Operations Manager for a national executive search firm specializing in Medical Imaging Sales and Marketing. By 2002, after gaining significant experience and fractional ownership in the firm, he sold his shares and transitioned to a medical device company in Colorado, where he led sales and marketing efforts for innovative cosmetic surgery instruments.

John's connection to Palm Springs began in 1989, when he purchased his first Alexander-built Mid-Century Modern home in the Vista Las Palmas neighborhood. Having grown up in New England, he found the architecture of Palm Springs to be a refreshing contrast, reshaping his view of modern comfort. The Mid-Century Modern communities of the Coachella Valley, with their clean, minimalist designs and focus on outdoor living, captivated him with their unique charm and spectacular mountain views.

In 2015, John joined Bennion Deville Homes and founded the Encore Premier Group. He and his team worked at the Springs Country Club on-site office in Rancho Mirage and were the top producers for the club. In 2018 John and Sandy were asked to head up the Eldorado Properties on-site real estate office at Eldorado Country Club. Today, John and Sandy continue to run Eldorado Properties, are LUXE Directors at Bennion Deville Homes and top real estate professionals in their industry, consistently ranking among the top 10 in the Coachella Valley.

When not working, John enjoys sailing, swimming, spinning, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and volunteering at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission.
